Biography
Tamara Honaman is a jewelry designer working in a variety of media for over 15 years. She currently contracts with Fire Mountain Gems & Beads as a jewelry expert, providing answers in the Ask the Experts section of their website as well as video and written instructions on jewelry making. Tamara also writes jewelry making projects for books and national and international magazines.
You can see Tamara's video segments on the Fire Mountain website as well as on the television series "Beads, Baubles & Jewels" and "Jewelry Making." She teaches jewelry making at international and national jewelry and bead shows as well as other venues around the world. She is a certified Senior Art Clay and PMC instructor, holds certificates in metalsmthing from The Revere Academy, is the Founding Editor of Step by Step Beads, Step by Step Wire, Step by Step Holiday Jewelry, and Step by Step Kids Jewelry.

Biography
Tamara Honaman is a jewelry designer who also loves to teach and share her designs through various media. Her designs include, but are never limited to, metal clay, wire, metal sheet and beads.
In addition to designing jewelry, Tamara has worked in the publishing field for over 12 years. She is the founding editor of Step-by-Step Beads; former editor of Step-by-Step Wire and "Step-by-Step" in Lapidary Journal - Jewelry Artist; and is one of the founders of the national show, Bead Fest. Currently she contributes projects, articles and designs to Fire Mountain Gems and Beads(R) who produced her full-length DVD - Secrets to Art Clay Success.
Tamara has appeared on several seasons of the series Beads, Baubles & Jewels and on the DIY program Jewelry Making. She contributes projects to magazines and books as well as has edited many books.
Tamara enjoys free time with her husband - for whom she could not do all she does - and their two wonderful boys. She is originally from NJ, where her love of jewelry-making began. Living in the shadows of New York City and in close proximity to the beach, it was hard not to be effected by the eclectic nature of her urban surroundings as well as the peaceful, bright and fulfilling nature of the ocean. It was then just a matter of the output - and right now - that means combining many things into jewelry!
